Elegant antique French Louis XVI-style mahogany buffet or enfilade, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1870–1900. This substantial statement piece features a beautifully figured warm mahogany veneer with contrasting chevron-patterned panels and delicate banded inlay throughout.
The buffet is topped with a distinctive peach and golden-beige veined marble slab, complemented by an impressive attached mirror framed in richly finished wood with an arched crest and ornate gilt-brass embellishment. Decorative brass ormolu mounts, including floral rosettes, a central ribbon-and-swag motif, and intricate corner accents, enhance its refined neoclassical character.
The façade features two upper drawers with decorative brass pulls, paneled cabinet doors, and a central decorative panel adorned with an elaborate gilt-brass mount. The balanced proportions, architectural detailing, and warm patina make this an eye-catching piece for a traditional, French country, European eclectic, or collected interior.
